Governing Bodies

Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA)

TAHA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that operates using a combination of USAH funding, fees charged for camps and tournaments, and grants to promote and grow amateur hockey in Texas and Oklahoma. While TAHA makes every attempt to adhere to all rules, policies, and guidelines of USAH and RMD, the Affiliate also has implemented their own rules and guidelines. TAHA has divided its amateur hockey into six sections, with the Travel Section being applicable to the Jr. Rampage. As an affiliate, TAHA manages the Tier I and Tier II state tournaments and player development camps, which are stepping stones to similar events at the district and national levels.

Rocky Mountain District Hockey (RMDH)

RMD's purpose is to promote and administer amateur hockey within the States of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

They organize and unite the efforts of all amateur hockey groups and organizations within the identified States, conduct Rocky Mountain District ice hockey tournaments and select representatives for other tournaments, select qualified players for USA Hockey Development Camps, administer and distribute grants to its affiliate organizations, and operate within the policies, procedures and guidelines of USA Hockey.

USA Hockey (USAH)

USA Hockey provides the foundation for the sport of ice hockey in America; helps young people become leaders; fosters Olympic and Paralympic dreams; and connects the game at every level while promoting a lifelong love of the sport.

The organization is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is represented in all 50 states, including more than one million players, coaches, officials, parents and volunteers. It is divided into 12 geographical districts throughout the United States. Within USA Hockey's 12 districts, 34 affiliates provide the formal governance for the sport.

USA Hockey has certification programs for coaches and officials, inclusive of industry-leading online education modules, to ensure standards are met that coincide with the level of play.
