Jr. Rampage Tryouts

General Tryout Information

The following procedures and guidelines will be used for Jr Rampage tryouts:

  • All players must have a valid, unique, USA Hockey registration number for the upcoming travel season.
  • All players registered to try out for a team should be present for all scheduled tryout sessions unless arrangements have been made with the Commissioners, Age Division Coordinators, and/or Head Coach. Please contact us at board@sanantionioyouthhockey.com to coordinate.
  • Even in the situation that you cannot attend tryouts, you must still register for tryouts in order to be considered for a rostered position.
  • Your player should arrive at the rink for check-in forty-five (45) minutes prior to the assigned tryout time unless specific information received otherwise.
  • Upon check-in, your player will be assigned a numbered pinnie. All players must return his/her pinnie at the end of all tryout sessions.
  • Tryouts are CLOSED SESSIONS. No spectators will be allowed in the ice rink area. Signage will be posted.
  • Please note that Head Coaches and/or Assistant Coaches may or may not choose to be on the ice during the tryout sessions.

Player Registration Fees and Payment Plans

The Player Registration Fees shall include those items detailed in the fee breakdown table on this page. All fees are non-refundable. Please thoroughly read and consider the third-party registration insurance presented during the offer acceptable process.

The Jr Rampage offers the two (2) following payment options for Player Registration Fees:

  • Option 1: Season registration fee paid in full at the time of offer acceptance, or
  • Option 2: Divide your season registration fee into automatic payment installments. A down payment will be required at the time of offer acceptance, and the remaining installments will be debited based on the payment plan selected.

Player Offers

Players will be contacted within 72 hours of the final tryout. Rosters will be posted on our website after tryouts conclude and after players have been contacted.

If your player is being offered a spot on a Jr Rampage team roster, you must complete the online season registration by the communicated deadline.

Failure to commit will be considered a forfeiture of that roster spot which will be offered to another player.

Registration Contracts

During the offer acceptance process, the following mandatory contracts and policies will be read and signed:

  • Organization Contract
  • Team Fees Policy
  • Release of Liability
  • USA Hockey Zero Tolerance Policy
  • Player Code of Conduct
  • Parent Code of Conduct

TAHA Community Based Rule

As a TAHA member association, the Jr Rampage is bound by TAHA’s ‘community-based’ policy for all teams. If San Antonio is not the closest travel hockey community to the primary residence of a player’s immediate family, please contact one of our association commissioners to discuss the steps that need to be taken. We strongly suggest that you initiate such requests at least two weeks prior to the date of the Jr Rampage tryout your player wishes to attend.

Any players residing within TAHA's jurisdiction but outside our boundaries must present evidence of such permission prior to attending our tryouts.

For more information on TAHA’s ‘community-based’ policy, please see the TAHA Guidebook/Rulebook, particularly pages 15 & 17.

8U Birth Year Players

8U players trying out for the Jr Rampage are encouraged to be familiar with the TAHA Mite ADM Policy.
